"All I need to do tomorrow is rationalize to my folks, why I was fired from my last job. At a time when there are no jobs in the American marketplace. Since this woman is from somewhere in Britain, I’ll discuss the United States economy being at all time low, let alone the state of the financial industry today, that is collapsing in front of our eyes. The hardest thing for me to take about visiting my parents this week is that I know they are as happy as their unhappiest kid. I am still that kid that fucks up my own life and my own successes. I have to be able to explain how easy it will be to put people to work. You see it’s easy for me to figure things out for other people. Even though I do not have a job today, I can easily explain four broad ways to put millions of people back to work while at the same time, create billions of dollars in revenues for the country. For instance, according to the American Society of Engineers, there is a need for several trillion dollars worth of un met infrastructure needs throughout the United States. Roads, bridges, schools, waste water plants, water systems, high speed railroads, internet broadband are all in desperate need of people to work to rebuild those types of facilities. If we continue to let these things go by the wayside in the U.S., nothing will get better while things will get worse for the people in America. We would not only be able to gain many jobs working on fixing up the needs of the United States, but also, we have an energy system in place today that imports 350 Billion Dollars worth of oil from, Saudi Arabia. We need better ways to transform our energy needs and dependencies from oil to wind power and solar power. Once that work begins, it will create thousands of jobs making America more valuable as a nation, creating more revenues for the country. Next, we have a trade system that forces the United States to compete with China, South East Asia and South America. There should be an International Fair Trade law set in place. We cannot compete with paying people wages to manufacture product for pennies versus the dollar. Starting small businesses today is hard too, the GOP just did another filibuster to veto the bill against a 30 Billion Dollar Small Business Program. There will continue to be no loans and no lines of credit given to any startup companies. And, without that bill enacted anytime soon, there will be no tax breaks for small businesses."
